WALKTHROUGH TUTORIAL
With Erin Mathis & Sarah Cohen
Congrats on getting this amazing tool! Now we'll show you exactly how to use it. Simply watch this video, and find the written instructions below as well.
How to Use this Tool: Written Instructions

The Stylepreneur Profit Planner & Rate Calculator is in a Google sheet with pre-populated formula's and pricing examples you can update for yourself.
First you need to make your own copy! (If you request editing access, you will not get it)
Click here to go to the Google Sheets template that you will copy
Go to the top menu, click on "File," then select "Make a Copy," and save it to your Google Drive. Now, you'll be able to customize, save and use it for yourself.
On the sheet, you'll see we've placed a number of services and a monthly membership as examples. We've pre-populated some numbers and formulas, but you can change the names of the services to match what you offer and replace the values with your own numbers. Be careful not to replace or delete the formulas in the cells that calculate for you, or you'll need to copy the original template and start over.
The top row is where you'll type in your specific services. Let's look at the first Column B as an example:
Enter how much you charge for the service. For example, if you charge $200 for a color analysis, put that number in Row 4 of each service.
Add up your monthly business expenses. This includes costs for styling apps, email marketing, scheduling apps, Google Drive storage, and other expenses. If you prefer, you can add up expenses specific to each service and enter that number on row 6 of each column.
Next you’ll Calculate Profit and Targets
Row 7 of each column/service calculates the profit per booking after deducting your expenses.
In row 9, enter your target profit per month—what we call your "freedom number." This is what you want to earn in profits every month.
In Row 10, the profit calculator will automatically show you how many sales of this service you need to make per month to hit your target.
In Row 13 you’ll enter the average number of hours you spend providing each service. This will help you see your earnings per hour.
Using this tool, you can play around with different prices for your services and see what makes sense.
Consider what feels worthwhile to you and how many services you need to sell to reach your target profit every month.
Now, let's look at the far-right column for memberships. This part is a bit more complex but equally important.
In 4G, enter the monthly fee you might charge a client to join your paid membership.
Then in 4H, Enter the number of members you aim to enroll each month.
The far right cell will calculate your revenue before expenses and then subtract your monthly expenses to show your revenue after expenses in 6I.
You'll see the profit per booking (7G) and the number of members needed to reach your target profits (10G).
Finally, enter the total hours you spend supporting this membership each month in 13G to find out your hourly earnings from this membership.
And there you have it—a comprehensive guide to using The Stylepreneur Profit Planner & Rate Calculator. By understanding and adjusting your service prices and memberships, you can ensure that your business is both profitable and aligned with your goals. Remember, the key to success is continuous adjustment and knowing your worth.
